Here is an interesting study on the benefits of myofascial release therapy for the treatment of fibromyalgia. The study has shown that this therapy reduces the sensitivity to pain at tender points in patients with fibromyalgia, improving their pain perception. Through the release of fascial restrictions these patients also showed a reduction in anxiety levels and an improvement in sleep quality, physical function and quality of life.
